Healthy Oatmeal Bars

Simple and delicious snack bars

It seems that my clients are always on the search for healthy snacks that actually taste good. There are just so many bars in the stores that are chalky and hard to chew! Making your own not only helps to keep your foods clean but you know exactly what's in them and you can adjust the recipe for your liking or your nutritional needs.

Healthy Oatmeal Bars

Nutritional Information Per Bar: Calories 238, Protein 8 grams, Fat 12 grams, Carbs 25 grams

Ingredients

  • 2 medium-size, ripe bananas

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (or whatever nut butter you prefer)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 3/4 cups quick oats

  • 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 2 oz dry roasted peanuts, chopped

  • 1/4 cup dark chocoloate chunks

  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line 7x9 baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, mash bananas completely with a fork.

  3. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. *If the mixture seems dry, you can add applesauce*

  4. Pour mixture into baking pan and press down to even it out.

  5. Bake for 15 minutes.

  6. Let cook on wire rack before cutting into 10 bars.

Leave me a comment if you try these! I'd love to hear how they turn out.
